Painted Rock Hunt Game

My contribution to the 5x5 temporary public art initiative of the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities, this project superimposed a game-like interface over all eight wards of Washington DC. Using the idiom of geo-caching, mobile and internet interfaces, and caches of painted rocks were placed in a location in each ward of the city. This structure activated the residential, cultural and municipal terrains of the city, and encouraged and rewarded participants for visiting each and all of the sites.
